SURROUNDINGS

Playa del Inglés, situated at the most southern tip of Gran Canaria, is a perfect start for an island trip.
Drive along the coast in eastern direction and soon you will see the remote villages and woods far away from the buzzing tourism.

In the shape of the island you immediately recognise the vulcan it originated from.
This is one of the unique spots on earth where you can find to see four seasons on one day... See orangetrees and almonds blossom as in spring on the cooler northern side of the island and a few minutes later you see plenty of fruit as if it were the height of summer.

The higher you go onto the island the cooler the temperature...right up to the spot where you can actually look into the vulcano...

Take the full tour around the island along the eastern side and end up in Las Palmas for refreshments and some shopping.

El Corte Inglés with it's five storeys can easily compete with the best department stores on mainland Europe...

Just walk into any side street of a main boulevard and you have plenty of possibilities to drink a cafe solo, your tea or a meal to your liking in one of the many cafes and restaurants.
